Why Voicebots might become your new best friend on customer service

For some people, Artificial Intelligence (AI) might appear as a synonym for chatbots, but it has a lot more to offer. Golf course managers and business operators can now take advantage of another AI-driven tool called voicebots. But how does it work, and how can golf course operators benefit from it to boost their customer service?

In 2023, we were all introduced to and faced with the groundbreaking generative AI and chatbots like ChatGPT. But another AI tool might be just as interesting or even more so if you're looking to up your customer service.

The main character is named voicebots. 

It is key to take your customer service quite seriously as it is a touchpoint that golfers have with the clubs. Here, previous chatbots could have taken part in one of the areas of your customer service. This could be when they have inquiries about opening hours, questions about the menu for the day, or need some information about upcoming events. 

And responding to inquiries and questions like these is actually important. If questions are left unanswered, guests and members might turn into detractors, and AI tools could come in very handy to avoid this.

But how does it work? 

Voicebots, also known as virtual assistants or conversational agents, are AI-powered tools designed to interact with users through voice commands or text inputs. They simulate human conversation to provide information, answer inquiries, and assist with tasks, all without the need for human intervention. 

Voicebots probably won't replace human interaction in customer service, but they excel at handling simple, repetitive tasks efficiently. They help save time, and instead of competing with humans, voicebots work alongside them to enhance the overall customer experience, making sure we can focus on more complex requests. 

Easing your daily tasks

It is no secret that running a golf course smoothly can be tough. Loads of time-consuming tasks appear all the time. There's plenty to do and take care of, and that's where voicebots come in – see it as your assistant in running the golf course. But, as promised, here's the reason why it really makes sense for golf club managers to consider integrating voicebots.  

Looking at data from last year tells us that some touchpoints regarding customer service actually have a significant influence on the Net Promoter Score.

Given that these touchpoints are all categorized as underperforming, it should be an area where golf club managers can see room for improvement. And as these touchpoints fall within the customer service realm, there's a unique opportunity to utilize the advantages that voicebots offer and address the underperforming parameters.

So, maybe it's worth thinking about how to spruce touchpoints related to informing guests and members up and automate them. And as these factors all have a high impact on the NPS, golf clubs will definitely benefit from addressing these, ultimately creating a more seamless and smoother experience for your golfers. 

Artificial Intelligence may not necessarily hold the answer to all of life's questions, but perhaps it would make sense to utilize voicebots specifically here.
